Apr 9, 2026 -  Ladies Day at Newport Harbor LBC

Newport Harbor LBC hosted our first Ladies Day of 2026.  Hospitality was amazing.  A huge thank you to Sally Cadwallader for doing a great job organizing all our hospitality.  Breakfast was delicious with Eleanor Reafsnyder’s famous deviled eggs, along with bagels, cream cheese and yummy desserts.  Lunch was also amazing with plenty of salads including Desiree Hamiltons’ mango salad which was a big hit. I definitely must mention that the tables were so festive, thanks to Wendy Valdes and Angela Laws setting everything up.   

These ladies attended Ladies Day for the first time ever and we hope to continue seeing them:  Rochelle Waskin, Beth Do and Elia Wang from Pasadena LBC and Julie Akau from Santa Ana.  We had 48 Ladies from 9 clubs attending this time.   

And now for our results of this day’s bowling.

In the morning, 12 ends were played, and the winners were:

1st Place:  Cindy Jones, Chris Adams, Shelley Cohen

2nd Place: Charlyn Moltane, Karen Sando, Rochelle Waskin

3rd Place: Trish Soto, Jana Edler, Molly Smulian

The afternoon game of 10 ends was won by:

1st Place:   Cindy Jones, Eleanor Reafsnyder, Vicki Wong

2nd Place: Trish Soto, Catherine Early, Molly Smulian 

3rd Place: Joanne Steckler, Karen Sando, Rochelle Waskin

Next month, Long Beach LBC will be hosting Ladies Day on Wednesday, May 13th.   Our motto is the more the merrier, so let’s keep sounding the word.
